She is a strong and principled woman in a weak and unprincipled world. I hear she’s a pretty fine novelist, too, although I am still waiting to see her manuscript.

Even though I don’t get to The Great White North all that often anymore, I hope to have an opportunity soon.

Des is one of the 43Ters I really want to meet. Her entries and comments are bright, erudite and witty; her outlook on life is refreshing.

Because Marmot wants to tell her how amazing she is.

I’m not sure I want to be their weekly victim guest, but I do find them to have an interesting, yet pragmatic, sense of style.

Because the neat thing about socks is: one size fits all (well, most).

Fred is who she is, and she makes no apologies for it. She’s gorgeous. She’s smart. She’s funny.

What’s not to like about Mary?

2. She has traveled some fantastic places that I’ve wanted to see but never have.
